About

We want to understand the scale and nature of sexual harassment, assault and abuse here in Scotland by collating stories and testimonials from those in our community.We have opened a confidential email contact line, staffed by a core team of three female volunteers, with legal and professional guidance and support from the Musicians Union Safe Space Scheme. 

Aims

  • To build an understanding of the scale of harassment and abuse in our community. 

  • Signpost support and advice for victims and survivors.

MU Safe Space


About

Safe Space exists to provide a safe space for all musicians to share instances of sexism, sexual harassment and sexual abuse in the music industry.
Useful if you don’t want to disclose to the BIT Collective directly.

Rape Crisis Scotland


About

The helpline offers free and confidential support and information by phone, email and text. They offer support to anyone aged 13 and over, of any gender, affected by any form of sexual violence, no matter when or how it happened.

Aims

  • To support survivors, as well as family, friends and supporters.

  • Signpost to ways of reporting to police and legal advice

Victim Support


About
Support workers and volunteers are available to you in person, over the phone and in the courts throughout Scotland. Services can be accessed regardless of whether you have reported the crime or not to the police. Services are free, independent and confidential.

Aims
To help with:

  • Understanding the criminal justice system

  • Deciding whether to report a crime

  • Keeping you safe

  • Accessing other agencies

  • Attending court

  • Meeting financial costs
